Dear Esenyurt residents,

Your love has been a source of strength for us since the day we set out on the road to the City of Peace and Fellowship with a new management approach. We have been in offce for three months now. During this time, with all my colleagues and you, we implemented our working system with a sustainable and integrated planning based on common sense, enlightened vision and participative local democracy.

In this process, the best and most effective way to take us to the national and international arena is culture and art. By using this path actively and effciently, we will make Esenyurt the ‘Capital of Culture and Art’. Creating a cultural mosaic with people from every region of Turkey and 101 countries of the world, our district greatly deserves this kind of attitude.

“Human beings have found art to eliminate meaninglessness…” says Nietszche. He says that we could not attain art. But we now find our meaning through culture and art in Esenyurt. We reach each other and us and our essence.

Now we will host a magnificent international festival. We will host 500 dancers from 35 countries and the artists and craftsmen of these countries in our district. We will come together with the unifying power of culture and the healing power of art. Esenyurt will be full of culture and art. The enthusiasm of universal peace and fellowship will surround and embrace everyone.

I am waiting for all our friends to our festival, where our unity and solidarity will be strengthened, and world cultures and the values that make us who we are will come to life with unique shows.
